About
The Elisha Project C4K (Christ + Compassion + Clothes for Kids) was inspired by the incredible life and heart of Elisha Mateo Diehl, who tragically passed away on April 20, 2024, due to pneumonia.

Born in San Jose, CA, in 2011 to Erica and Matt Diehl, Elisha embodied a spirit of generosity, kindness, and faith from an early age. At just four years old, he gave his life to Jesus Christ, and his actions reflected that commitment every day.

Elisha had a passion for people and saw them for who they truly were, valuing each person regardless of background or circumstance. His quiet but powerful humor, love for trivia, and adventurous spirit made him a friend to all. An incredibly talented athlete, Elisha dreamed of a future in baseball, a sport he both loved and excelled at.

Beyond the game, his heart for giving was even greater. He was the driving force behind the original C4K, a mission to provide clothing for kids in need. Whether helping the homeless, caring for others, or sharing what he had, Elisha lived with compassion in action.

His life, though far too short, left a profound and lasting impact. His heart for generosity and service will continue through The Elisha Project, ensuring that his legacy of love, kindness, and faith carries on. Above all else, Elisha’s greatest goal in life was to glorify God—and through his story, his mission, and his memory, that purpose continues.

Elisha's Vision
Elisha began creating the vision for his nonprofit, C4K, during his flex class at Desert Christian Academy. Guided by his heart for service and a desire to live out his faith, Elisha’s mission was to provide clothing and shoes for children in need. The project, rooted in compassion, reflected Elisha’s love for Jesus and his commitment to being the hands and feet of Christ.

Our Mission
Our mission is to carry out Elisha’s vision of providing clothing to children in need, while also embracing two values that were deeply important to him—Christ and compassion. We continue his legacy of generosity, hope, and love by sharing the compassion of Christ with others.
